Common questions

Does Gym Guard AI lock the app itself?

No. Gym Guard AI remains available so you can verify a gym photo, use an emergency override, restore purchases, or change settings. Only the apps, categories, or websites you select in Apple Screen Time are blocked.

How do I choose which apps get blocked?

Open the App Blocking section in the dashboard or Settings and use the Apple Screen Time picker. Your first setup is free. Changing an already configured block list uses one emergency override.

What if I have an emergency or need to skip the gym?

Gym Guard AI includes three emergency overrides. An override can unlock your selected apps until the end of today without logging a gym visit, or let you change your blocked app list.

The app says my gym photo is not a gym

The verifier looks for visible gym equipment like dumbbells, racks, cable machines, benches, or treadmills. Try a wider shot with more equipment in frame and avoid photos of mirrors showing only you.

What is the onboarding progress estimate?

It is optional. If you take a clothed full-body progress photo, Gym Guard AI uses that photo plus your quiz answers to estimate a non-medical window for visible progress from consistent gym attendance. It is not a diagnosis or guarantee.

What if the app says my visit did not qualify?

Try a wider gym photo with more visible equipment in frame. Shots that show racks, benches, machines, dumbbells, or cardio equipment are easier to verify than close-up mirror selfies.

How do I change my training schedule?

Open the dashboard and update your weekly gym days or check-in hour. Your schedule is stored locally on the device.

Do I need a subscription?

Yes. Gym Guard AI Premium unlocks selected-app blocking, AI photo verification, verified-day history, streak tracking, and the workout accountability dashboard. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and can be managed in App Store settings.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original subscription.

Will my streak transfer to a new device?

Your schedule and visit history are stored locally right now, so they do not automatically sync across devices.
